Section 105 Medical ReimbursementsEvery year, small business owners and self-employed individuals look for ways to save money and increase their tax deductions. Most of these small businesses aren’t aware of a program available to turn their everyday family medical expenses into a business expense. Allowing existing medical expenses to be deducted off-the-top, reduces the taxable income reported by the business, which results in a substantial tax savings. A self-employed individual can turn these family medical expenses into a business expense through the use of a Section 105 Medical Reimbursement Plan. This is also known as a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA). BizPlan provides this service. To be eligible for BizPlan, a self-employed individual must be married and legitimately able to employ his/her spouse. Just like with any employer, a ‘compensation package’ can be offered to the spousal employee, which includes a small monthly cash wage + the reimbursement of all family medical expenses incurred throughout the year. BizPlan allows qualifying individuals to deduct 100% of their family health insurance premiums as well as any/all medical, dental, and vision expenses. BizPlan participants save an average of $5,000.00 per year through this program. Take a few minutes to watch this Video explanation (11 mins.) Want more details?
