![]() What is a "knowledge base"? The answer to this question varies greatly from organization to organization. Certainly, a basic knowledge base should include governing documents, rules, and tools such as forms and basic information about the Association. One company that specializes in creating knowledge bases for organizations states that:
So, people collect the data, information and knowledge and put it into a format that creates something of real value, usable knowledge.
Many of the items you will find in this knowledge base are merely fragments of data that may assist the end user to be more effective. Much of the data has been distilled to provide the viewer with knowledge.
A truly great knowledge base, however, draws from all of the resources of the Association – staff, industry lore and knowledge, and knowledge from the end users. To that end, we ask that you assist us by providing us information – knowledge – and let us know how we can improve this service to our members.
